Website privacy
What this website does with your information, in plain English.
Who we are
This website is run by FDC Academy (The Football Development Centre). You can contact us at enquiries@fdcacademy.co.uk.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and it does not currently use analytics. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.
Features that use our member system
- Timetable, syllabus and MJPL fixtures. These load live from our member system (members.fdcacademy.co.uk). Your browser makes an ordinary web request, so our server sees your IP address and browser details, as any website does. The information returned contains no personal details about anyone.
- Find your nearest venue. The postcode you type is sent to our member system, which looks up its location using the free postcodes.io service and works out the distance to each venue. We do not store the postcode.
- Ask FDC assistant (when it is switched on). The questions you type are sent to our server and passed to an AI service (Groq) to write an answer, which may be processed outside the UK. We do not store conversations. Please do not type personal details or children’s names.
Links to other sites
We link to Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, the App Store and news websites. They have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.
Registering for a trial or joining
When you register for a trial or join FDC you use our member portal, not this website. What we collect there, and how we use it, is set out in the privacy policy within our Terms and conditions.
If you email or call us
We keep your message and contact details so we can reply and look after your enquiry.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email enquiries@fdcacademy.co.uk. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
